Downloading YouTube videos
Ever wanted to use a YouTube video in the classroom, but found you had no access. Use Zamzar's free file conversion, and save the video on your hard-drive. You have to tolerate quite a few pop-up ads while you're on the site, but it's worth it.
The views expressed on this blog are my own and do NOT represent views of staff and students from I.S. 339, I.S. 219, the NYC DOE, A.U.S.S.I.E. or any other entity.
I hop time zones for a living, as I live in Australia but do much of my work either online or on-site in New York. They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and my online consultancy certainly requires some very creative use of freely available technologies.
